Mark your calendars! Estela’s Cocina will be having a pop-up at 8ARM every THIRD Sunday of the month! The 8ARM bar will be open. There will be limited seating at the bar area. Please remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

8ARM x Estela's Cocina
Maricela Vega (left) started as a chef doing pop-ups and catering in Atlanta, GA. In 2017, she created Chicomecóatlien. This project emphasizes the importance of sustainably sourced agriculture, conscious consumption, and bringing authentic Mexican culture through food. She is now the executive chef at 8ARM where she continues to share her values of Mexican cuisine to the community. Follow her at @marsdemari and @chicomecoatlien to check out her amazing work.
Estela Alvarez (right) started as a home chef selling quesadillas from her small kitchen in Michoacán, Mexico to support her family. Since migrating to the United States, she has built her own pop-up and catering business and is now known all across Atlanta for her famous quesadillas. Estela's passion for cooking is translated through her home cooked Mexican dishes. No matter where her kitchen is, a sense of home and nostalgia is brought from her cocina to every plate.
We are beyond grateful for this community and we are thankful for 8ARM and Maricela for sharing their space with us. Thank you for all the support.
Xocoyul Rosado Quesadillas
There is a whole team of women of color behind the scenes to make this amazing food, from Estela's home cooking to the very corn used to grind into masa. This beautiful xocoyul rosado corn is sustainably sourced from Mexico and the masa is produced by Chicomecóatlien. These fine ingredients are used to make Estela’s quesadillas, which is a recipe passed down generations in her family. We hope you love the food as much as we love the process.
